Explore the thought-provoking artwork of Lorna Simpson, known for combining photography, text, and storytelling. Artists (6+) will discover how images and words work together to communicate ideas, and then create a mixed-media artwork that tells a story through pictures and writing. What We’ll Create: Thinking out of the box while creating collage art that will introduce us to the style and influence of Lorna Simpson. Using mixed media, we will tell stories and create portraits in pictures, leaving the interpretation open to perspective.
